About Michelle McLaughlin

Michelle McLaughlin is a qualified psychotherapist with a B.A. (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and she is a member of IACP. Her background is in early childhood education where she witnessed how early childhood experiences can impact on individuals and their relationships.

She employs a humanistic integrated theoretical framework with client centered therapy at the core of her practice. She works with adult clients experiencing a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, bereavement/loss, abuse and relationship difficulties.

Previously, she worked with an established GP family practice dealing with clients who were referred on to her for support in dealing with various forms of emotional trauma.

She believes that it is within the special therapeutic relationship that the client can discover his or her internal resources to heal and find peace.
