What we are about

One Hour For Me specialist Lifestyle Medicine & Mental Health Centre. Offering a dedicated panel of accredited and experienced experts in Psychology, Psychotherapy, Play Therapy, Massage therapy, Nutritional Therapy and Acupuncture Therapy, supporting children, teens, individuals and couples. We follow the ethos of simply facilitating the introduction of tools, exercises, knowledge and self-awareness which empower positivity and self-confidence.

We promote mental and emotional wellbeing upon 4 pillars of health “Food, Move, Rest, Relax”. We are passionate that by introducing purposeful & practical changes to one’s daily practice through diet, self-awareness and exercise can allow for mental clarity, empowerment and focus in all aspect of one’s life.

We are deeply passionate about helping you become an active participant in you mental and emotional wellbeing where proactive and preventative steps are introduced facilitating overall balance reducing or eliminating any chance of crisis intervention. Minding your health one hour at a time!

Classes

Vinyasa Yoga

Like Hatha, Vinyasa Flow is a general term that is used to describe many different types of classes. Vinyasa, which means breath-synchronized movement, tends to be a more vigorous style based on the performance of a series of poses called yoga sequences or Sun Salutations, in which movement is matched to the breath. This technique is sometimes also called Flow Yoga because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Vinyasa’s strength is in its diversity. There is no single philosophy, rulebook, or sequence that teachers must follow, so there is a lot of room for individual personalities and quirks to come through! If you enjoy having things a little loose and unpredictable and like to move, Vinyasa is probably right for you. Classes are suitable for all abilities and newcomers are always welcome

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga classes provides an opportunity to stretch and release tension, providing a good counter point to both busy lifestyles and cardio workouts. It is known as a more gentle form of yoga, but not to be mistaken as easy, as it can still be challenging both mentally and physically. Through movement and conscious breathing we build strength and flexibility all the while creating a sense of balance and relaxation within the body. BarreConcept

This increasingly popular exercise regime incorporates the precision of Pilates with the positions, moves, grace and technique of ballet. Add to this the alignment of yoga and the strength from sports conditioning and you will have all of the aspects of a typical Barre workout. BarreConcept has gained international recognition with accreditation in the UK by The Register of Exercise Professionals, in Australia by Fitness Australia and in Canada by Canfitpro, making BarreConcept the world’s first internationally accredited Barre training course.

Tai Chi

Wu Style Tai Chi, this style of Tai Chi is easy to learn, it offers a very calming and restorative effect on the body. It is excellent in helping deal with stress, increases energy and assists in detoxifying the body through its gentle massage like movement of the kidneys and other vital organs which is facilitated by the focused and sequenced movement flow. Slow purposeful movement a form of moving meditation when regularly practice leads to an increased sense of wellbeing, mental clarity, focus and calm with a notable improvement to sleep as well as promoting self-confidence and self-awareness.
It is extremely useful in rehabilitation as the movements are slow, gentle and open up the joints, bringing increased blood flow, Qi and nutrients throughout the body. Wu style Tai Chi Is suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness as well as being very enjoyable.
