Vinyasa Yoga Classes
Like Hatha, Vinyasa Flow is a general term that is used to describe many different types of classes. Vinyasa, which means breath-synchronized movement, tends to be a more vigorous style based on the performance of a series of poses called yoga sequences or Sun Salutations, in which movement is matched to the breath. This technique is sometimes also called Flow Yoga because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Vinyasa’s strength is in its diversity.
There is no single philosophy, rulebook, or sequence that teachers must follow, so there is a lot of room for individual personalities and quirks to come through! If you enjoy having things a little loose and unpredictable and like to move, Vinyasa is probably right for you.
